(MyStory) Oh Why? Where Did You Go?

Until the end of last month, at least I was having some BE running at this blog. Although the earning were very low, somehow seeing that advertisers still choosing my blog does make me happy. And then something happened. The BE campaign just stopped. Dead. Nada. None.

What really happened? Was it because of lack of updates again? Gulp......

(Japan) Traveling In Japan Made Easy

Are you planning on going for holiday to Japan? Have you prepared all the necessary items needed during your stay? How are you going to reach your destination once you arrived in Nagoya, Tokyo or Osaka? Whether business or leisure, finding your destination become easier if you already knew the method of transportation available at any given time. Well, as you probably knew, the main transportation mode in Japan is the train.

There are 'Shinkansen' aka bullet train, 'Chikatetsu' aka subway & 'Densha' aka the normal train. If you're lost, use this words and people will instantly understand and they can help you to reach the train station easier. Now I will show you how to check for the train schedules by using this online service.

Meet Hiperdia. An online timetable for trains in Japan. What you have to do is just select the departure station and arrival station. Then fill up the date and time. You can also choose up to maximum 5 route suggestions. The system will gives you recommendations completes with time, estimated time, the name of stations, distances, fare and so on.

Below are the classic version that I used to. Looks very simple but very informative.

(MyStory) 3rd BE Campaign?

In a day, just after finished up the previous post, another campaign arrived? Wow.

Not much but at least that's something. It is better than not knowing something special is currently going on, and you doesn't have a clue about it. And you know what, that person is me. In November 2010, I didn't know what was happening, until I read in a couple of famous local blogs (yours truly) such as hafidzlife,afrayuri & earncent.

Am thinking of changing the template layout, already tried and tested a couple but still not satisfied. Maybe I'll try again later. Also at the same time current pages are cluttered, messy. Should I ditch everything and leave only the bare-bone template?

(MyStory) At Last, You've Come Back!

I am talking about BE from Nuffnang which stands for Buffered Earning. The first ever campaign that I got was from Nestle which lasted for a week on Nov 2010. And afterwards, the BE campaign just entered into hiatus, and understandably the lack of updates contributed to the lack of interest.

And, this morning I found out that another advertiser has chosen this blog for their campaign. Thank you very much to Halls & Nuffnang!

Hopefully there would be more & more!

(MyStory) An Angry Man

I was an angry person. And that shadow of mine seems to be hiding and waiting for the right moment to appear and crush everything that I've been protecting all this time.

As a boy, I was among the most vengeful kid in school. There was one time that due to misunderstanding between me and a friend, I hit his head with my new plastic stationary box. the box broken into 2 pieces. My friend? He injured his head, with blood dripping through his hair. What was the subject of discontent? I didn't remember much, but I think it was about my friend here accidentally dropped my exercise books to the floor. And I punished him with a blow at his head. I'm sorry my friend, because of my anger, you became one of my unfortunate victims. I was 11 years old during this incident.

There was one time at evening religious school, during recess where all of us would be playing among ourselves. What kind of play? Well, as a kampung boys and girls, we would be playing war in the woods. A group of boys will play against the girls, and mind you, this includes hiding in the bushes, under fallen tree stump, climbing trees and also setting traps. Unbelievable but it was true. And during this time that due to some argument, and in that split second my mind recalled some scene in a movie, and without hesitation I spitted to his face. The look of surprise on him and all my friends, I brushed it all aside, and I leave.

After all this years, I still haven't managed to ask for forgiveness to this two friends, and I didn't want to wait any longer. All this while, and also recently I always dreamed about this and it got me thinking. There are things still unfulfilled and there are things that we still owed to people around us, no matter the reason, no matter who was at fault, we must try to ask for forgiveness and try to make a closure.

Why now? Why not 10 years ago? Why not later? Well, if our age has got something to do with it, then I think that I'm getting old, and I saw that shadow of mine on my son, and it scares the living hell of me.

Called it karma, or retribution or anything you want. I wouldn't let my boy to share the same guilt that I've been carrying all this time. It was frustrating, when you decided enough is enough, and you tried to correct the mistakes, and when you think you already suppresses, eliminated the shadow, you seeing it to appear in your dearest person.

(MyStory) The Story Of My Past

I have been using an iPod Touch 32GB for 2 years until I bought an iPhone 3G not long ago. Gave Sold the ipod to my sister as replacement for her old Walkman.

The ipod was great and I really mean it. I was studying in Japan and been searching for a portable device to help me with my studies and backpacking. Previously I bought a Casio E-Dictionary which cost me ¥25800 from BicCamera and also a PSP to stores pictures that I need such as train timetables, routes etc. The dictionary was good but I urgently need a better alternative. It was bulky and need to be flipped out and during walking around that is a big hassle...

The PSP was great for gaming, but for image viewing, I wished it was faster & easier. I prefer something smaller that I can carry or use just using one hand and I want it to be able to translate the japanese words into something i can understand, if complete with an explanation that would be a bonus. Then I found out about the iPod Touch and instantly I was hooked.

What's so great with an iPod Touch anyway some of you might ask. Well it was smaller than my dictionary, thinner than the iPhone (lighter too), I can use any dictionary I want (Kotoba anyone?) instead of one single dictionary that I can hardly understood, and it gets better. It has easier way to manipulate photo ie zoom in /out just by tapping the screen instead of using buttons. Well have you ever tried using PSP to view a photo before? It's cumbersome to say the least. Can you imagine, while fumbling with the button to zoom in the photo of a timetable, the train arrived and as you are in a hurry, you jump in just to realise later that you hopped into a wrong train.... What a waste of time.

And why I didn't bought the iPhone 3G earlier? Well... that's another story that I will share next time.

(MyStory) Memory remains

I just got a lot of birthday's wishes from my family, friends and friends of friends. I did forgot it was my birthday today, but fortunately my cousins (Hafiz and his big bro Zalik) sent me a greeting through the Facebook.

And I was speechless. Somebody just wished me on my birthday!!!

Truth to be told, our family seldom greet or celebrates each other birthday in the past. Maybe it's because we were still schooling, each at their own far far away school, living in the hostel, or studying overseas, which mean we didn't have time and chances to see each other a lot during those days.

And now that Abah had passed away, we took turns to look out for each other and also taking care of Mak.

If possible, I want to stay at kampung. I did regret never having the chances to be with Abah during his retirement till he passed away 4 years ago. The last memory of seeing him during Hari Raya Haji 2006 and also the moment when he wants me to try out all his clothes... just one day before he passed away due to heart problem.. is still lingering in my mind.

Abah, I missed you a lot. We missed you so much.

To Mak, Kak Long, Abang Ngah, Bang Khalid, Mie, Anne and Lin, so sorry for posting this up.... I really do.. It makes our past memories comes back, and remind us of what we have been missing, and do not let the chances go away without making it meaningful and memorable...

(MyStory) The first step...

Good evening everyone!

First of all, thank you for stumbling on this page whether accidentally or not. This is the first post for this new blog that I'm starting. My previous blog was on WordPress, and although it was a good exposure, I've decided to starts on a new platform and this is the first step.

I’ve always dream about starting on a blog of my own. Previously, there were attempts to create a personal site just to have it stopped halfway. Of course my studies and part time jobs helped to make that goes away. Even after I started working 5 years ago, I intended to pursue my dream and yet again, the long working hours and a lot of side works crushed my hopes away. Maybe I didn’t fully understand how to accomplish it those times.  Maybe I did have an insomnia and forgotten about it after those accidents… who knows? I will try to achieve those things that I had always dreamed of. While in the process I did manage to achieve 4 of them which is my car, my house, my love and also my dream to go to Japan.

I am in Japan right now.
